I do love a good use of emoji in my private conversations. In fact, my 12-year-old almost exclusively talks to me via emojis on his gizmo watch. However, I work at B2B tech company and our buyers tend to be older, senior-level managers or execs and there\u2019s a balance between showing some personality and turning them off. My use of them is infrequent at best on the work front.<\/p>

I also worry about accessibility and the articles I\u2019ve read about how difficult it is for those to be translated in a readable way for those who need technology assistance. I\u2019ve also had some interesting conversations with our recruiters, who will use dozens in a LinkedIn post \u2014 despite targeting senior level experience \u2014 because it\u2019s more important that company be seen as \u201cfun\u201d vs. a post that would resonate with those who work within traditionally formal roles.\u00a0<\/p>
